The Juventus Soccer School is considered to have the best teaching model among all soccer academies in Italy.
The model is based on:
- A systematic training programme and strict adherence to internal regulations
- Highly-qualified coaches that have been selected, trained and certified by Juventus Soccer Schools Training Centre, Turin University, Juventus Academy.
- Ongoing evaluation of coaches and student progress conducted by a Juventus Soccer Schools team of technical experts.
- Training for the physical and personal development of each child in small groups not exceeding 12 students.
“The establishment of the first Academy outside Italy has been entrusted to us by a great educational organisation, Costeas-Geitonas School. We will definitely return! This is only the beginning!” - Jean-Claude Blanc, President, Juventus Football Club
“Our primary aim is to help develop a strong character with principles, culture and ethical standards. Then we want to train good soccer players. Times have changed. Today, more than ever, we owe it to our children to help create a better world. I don’t know if Juventus Soccer Schools will produce a new Del Piero or a new Buffon but I am certain we will produce better people.” – Gianluca Pessotto, Director of Communication
“Along with the Italian Head Coach, Christian Micono, who is permanently located in Greece, we began observing the operation of Juventus Soccer Schools closely. We have continued to do so systematically as of December 2009. Our goal is to create the first international university in Athens. Juventus scouts are currently in Greece identifying new talent. Our strategy lies in establishing ties between the team, youth teams and the academies.” – Marco Marchi, General Director, Juventus Soccer Schools.
The Academy is for both boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 16, from the school and from outside the school. Every week two practice sessions are held on Costeas-Geitonas School premises in Pallini and a match every week-end (both on and off campus).
