Conduct
Costeas-Geitonas School is committed to promoting values and self-discipline to help students develop positive attitudes and behaviours. By encouraging diversity and individuality, we strive to cultivate an environment where each and every student feels accepted. Our goal is to create an academic setting where punishment is unnecessary; however, noncompliance to the school’s regulations and overall values in terms of behaviour and conduct may result in the school taking necessary disciplinary action.
Any misconduct is dealt with by the school’s Teachers’ Association. In the case of repeated misconduct, the consequences range from reprimand to expulsion, according to local legislation.
Computer and Internet Use
Students are encouraged to use the technology made available to them through the school for educational purposes. All students must adhere to the rules regarding appropriate and safe use of computers and the internet in the classrooms, laboratories and library.

Class Arrival
Students are to arrive to class on time. Unjustified late arrival is reported and appropriate measures are taken by the Administration Office.
Absence
Regular attendance is a decisive factor in the educational process. In the case of student absence, parents are duly informed at the start of every academic year of the local provisions relating to unjustified student absences. These provisions include any necessary steps parents must take in order to justify their child’s absences. Unjustified absences are taken seriously and with all due consideration. Students who are not present in any class hour during the regular school day are marked as absent and reported to the relevant Administration Office. Parents are, in turn, informed of any unjustified absences.
Recess
During recess students must remain on school grounds at all times. Only teachers and proctors are permitted to remain in classrooms during recess. In the case of inclement weather, students remain indoors under the supervision of their teacher or class proctors.

Extreme or provocative appearance in dress or hairstyle is not permitted.

If special circumstances require a student to have a mobile telephone, it must remain turned off during the school day. It may be turned on only after classes are over. Mobile telephones used without authorization will be confiscated and returned only after consultation with parents. Similarly, mobile telephones are to be turned off in the school bus.
