1.0 CGS IB Summer Courses’ OBLIGATIONS

1.1 CGS IB Summer Courses provide students with:

1.1.1 The Programme for which the student has enrolled.

1.1.2 Accommodation for the duration of the course. If a student attends more than one Period, weekend accommodation is provided at no extra cost.

1.1.3 All the leisure activities that take place in the afternoon.

1.2 Shortly after the booking and the payment of the deposit, CGS IB Summer Courses are obliged to send the student a welcoming package with all the documents/information described in the brochure or website.

1.3 The CGS IB Summer Courses hold the right to cancel a course. The student will be informed in advance for any change in the schedule or the course of his/her desire.

1.4 The CGS IB Summer Courses are obliged to provide insurance to all students during the course.

1.5. CGS IB Summer Courses do not accept any responsibility for loss of, or damage to, any property belonging to participants attending the school. We do not accept responsibility for any loss or expense due to delays in public transport, weather, quarantine, sickness, strike, riot or any other cause.

2.0 Student’s and Parents’/Guardians’ Obligations

2.1 Students agree to follow the rules of CGS IB Summer Courses and behave in a legal manner. In case of a student’s mis-behaviour as judged by the CGS IB Summer Courses, the student will be expelled from the course.

2.2 Students are expected to attend all classes, meals, trips and excursions.

2.3 There is a non-smoking policy operating throughout the residence system. Students are not allowed to smoke in any part of the residence or to allow any guest or visitor to smoke in any part of the residence. This includes covered areas at entrances, rooms, corridors, classes, lecture theatre, etc.

2.4 Consumption or possession of alcohol by students of any age is not permitted.

2.5 Damage to School property, public property or other’s student’s property, may result in dismissal from the course and payment of the damages.

2.6 Parents/Guardians agree to pay the deposit and full fees of the course that the student has chosen and the balance is due by the date of final payment listed in section 4.1.

2.7 Parents/Guardians or students are responsible to arrange any travel insurance.

2.8 Parents/Guardians agree the student to take part in any of the leisured activities organized by CGS IB Summer Courses.

2.9 Parents/Guardians give their consent to CGS IB Summer Courses to provide the students with medical treatment in case of emergency as judged by local medical practitioners.

2.10 Parents/Guardians give their consent to CGS IB Summer Courses to provide the students with medicines after the student’s request.

2.11 Parents/Guardians should notify us of any special medical needs of the student.

2.12 Parents/Guardians give their consent that students may go out the school alone or with company during their free time and any activities then will be entirely at the student’s risk.

3.0 Bookings and Security Deposit

3.1 Students can apply for the CGS IB Summer Courses until May 14th 2010.

3.2 Confirmation of a booking is subject to a deposit of €850 for the Pre-IB and of €450 for the Mid-IB Programme.

3.3. The booking of a place is regarded as acceptance of CGS IB Summer Courses Terms and Conditions.

4.0 Payment

4.1 All fees are payable in full in advance and at least 1 month before the Arrival Date of the Student to CGS IB Summer Courses.

5.0 Cancelling Bookings

5.1 After payment has been made, there is a cancellation period of 1 week.

5.2 Upon cancellation of the booking after the cancellation period has passed, the CGS IB Summer Courses will hold acancellation fee of €200.

5.3 Upon cancellation of the booking after the cancellation period has passed, and within 2 weeks prior to the startof the programme, the CGS IB Summer Courses will hold 50% of the total amount.

5.4 In case where the payment has been made, but the student’s visa application has not been successful, the CGS IB Summer-Courses will refund fees except of the amount of €50.

5.5 No refund of the fees will be made in case where the student is asked to withdraw the course for any of the reasons mentioned in section 2.1-2.5.

6.0 GENERAL TERMS

6.1 The CGS IB Summer Courses can use any photograph of the student taken during the duration of the course for promotional purposes of the CGS IB Summer Courses.

6.2 CGS IB Summer Courses reserves the right to make any changes or alterations to any aspect of the programme in the event of unsuitable weather conditions or other factors beyond our control.
